Mind, Body & Nutrition

Hello!

As a certified personal trainer, I offer customized plans for exercise, nutrition, and mental health to help you achieve your health goals. I strongly believe that all three components are essential for a balanced and healthy life.

My goal is to provide personalized plans that address all three components, ensuring that you are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to live a healthy, balanced life.

BODY

Just like our minds, our bodies need regular stimulation and exercise to stay sharp and energized. That's why it's so important to stay active every day. Staying active is good for your mental health, and it is also essential for your bone health, Bones are living tissue, and they respond to exercise by growing stronger. after our 3rd decade, most of us lose bone, low bone density can lead to osteoporosis, essentially meaning you will become frail

We all know that exercise helps to control weight gain or to maintain. Exercise also combats health conditions and diseases, such as heart disease, and helps to control blood pressure. Staying active gets the heart pumping, smooths blood flow diseases you risk of cardiovascular disease,

These are just some of the reasons you should have a regular routine, to prevent stroke, metabolic syndrome high blood pressure type 2 diabetes, depression  anxiety, many times of cancers   arthritis, and FALLS,

You can't do this without a proper diet, to feed your mind and body.

NUTRITION

You need to listen to your body, not your cravings.  I know it's not easy, but sadly that's what the food industry wants, they want you hooked. Don't let them do it to you, as innocent as it sounds or reads, don't buy into it, eat as whole as possible.

You have heard me go on about the importance of exercise, it is all useless if you don't know how to eat right, Did you know it is 80% nutrition for optimal health?

Consuming whole foods can lead to better emotional and brain health.

Not only am I a certified health coach, but I compete in figure (a class of bodybuilding) I know that not eating enough or getting what you need for your day,  when competing and weeks out I am in a caloric deficit. It's not fun, you're tired, you can’t think, is horrible the last few weeks.  This is why a balanced diet diet for you is essential.

Overconsumption of processed foods can lead to inflammation throughout the entire body. This can lead to stress and depression.  Paying attention to how you feel when you eat, again going back to listening to your body, is the 1st step in making sure your body is getting a balanced diet. Your body needs food for fuel, what about the mind? Your brain and nervous system rely on proper nutrition to build and maintain brain function.

Hey don't expect yourself to change your eating habits overnight, you need to start with small things and learn to slowly love whole foods. Before you know it your body is feeling all those small changes you can and will move forward from there, before you know it, you have found your balance

MIND

Is not to be ignored,  exercise and being active are so important to comb mental health, I believe in that old saying you are what you think/eat and food for thought.   When studying to be a health coach, along with my own personal struggles. not to take the power of the mind for granted. So what we eat, what we think, and what we take in from the world around us can impact our mental health dramatically.  Stay active regularly can improve not just your physical health, it will improve your sex life, and can add years to your life. Those who are active have an enormous sense of well-being,  they tend to sleep better, they feel more relaxed, and they tend to be more positive about themselves.  Studies have shown that exercise can treat mild to moderate depression,  how exercise can fight depression? , it promotes all kinds of change to the growing brain, it promotes a feeling of calm, Wants a healthy rush of endorphins, and does something active, Another great benefit of exercise,

It's easy to get caught up in the fast pace of life and the constant presence of screens and social media, we forget the importance of authentic community and face-to-face social connection. This has led to a decline in people's mental health.  Then there's the increase of adult bullying on social media platforms.  Why do some need to record someone's misshapes and throw it on TikTok,  WHY? So that you can get a bunch of likes to boost the endorphins, instead put the phone down, and try helping instead. It will give you a shot of endorphins and might make you feel better about yourself all day.   It's important to take a step back and breathe.   Put down your phones,  be mindful of your surroundings and the thoughts you allow into your mind. For example, so many say this to ourselves,   I am so stupid. Please stop and think before you speak even to yourself, Instead of saying I’m stupid, say this instead. “What I did was stupid”  because you are most certainly not stupid.  The power of the mind should not be underestimated, even scientists are still trying to fully understand its capabilities. That's why it's so important to focus on positive thinking, things that make you smile and laugh along with self-positive affirmations.  Being self-aware can provide much-needed nutrition to the brain, which controls everything from our movements to our emotions. By prioritizing our mental health and practicing positive thinking,  we can enhance both our physical and mental well-being.
